ink, water, and marker

Hey. It's been over half a year since I posted on this blog. What's new? I have been rejected by Sheridan and Seneca's animation programs, so I get to do minimum wage labour for the next half year or more.

In the meantime, I've been working more with pens, alcohol markers, and portable watercolour sets for subway sketching. There was this girl in my art fundamentals class who drew almost exclusively with pen and ink. She reminded me a lot of a close friend of mine who has a similar style. Also got that Vietnamese girl sass that I've come to love.

Quick transit sketching with the 0.3mm Sakura Micron

With the same pen, only this time, I also used a Sakura portable watercolour painting set. it's great.

Done during life drawing at APOP 2014 of somebody cosplaying a character from Madoka Magicka. on newsprint with 0.8mm micron and french grey prismacolor markers.

and that's it. I'm still not great at pen and ink yet, but I'll try to get there.
